Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; CPI preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Experience with a patient ratio of 1:6 - Epic charting experience preferred Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in a medical-surgical setting with a focus on neuro patient populations. The position is for day shifts, working 4x12-hour shifts. This role includes responsibilities such as administering blood products, managing colostomy/ileostomy care, and overseeing feeding tubes. Nurses will also manage central lines, perform wound care, and provide necessary interventions for patients with respiratory aid. Patient care will require adherence to isolation precautions and safety protocols. The unit consists of 32 beds, and nurses will work within an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Weekend shifts will total 6 within a 6-week period, and floating to like units may be necessary. Candidates must be adaptable and prepared for potential rapid response team activation.
