Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: ACLS Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Surgical unit. The shift will be during the night, 4 days per week. The nurse will be responsible for starting IVs. Candidates with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role are preferred. Traveler experience is not required, and locals are accepted. Shifts will have a patient to nurse ratio of 1:6. The position requires every other weekend. Weekend shifts will require 2 shifts plus one day of on-site training. The unit operates with self-scheduling. The documentation and communication systems in use will be specified during orientation. Preferred candidates will possess ACLS certification. The nurse may occasionally be asked to float to different units. However, this will be rare. The candidate must be comfortable floating if necessary. All candidates will be required to comply with health and safety protocols. References from previous employers will be necessary before employment start. The candidate must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. RTO is limited during the first week of the assignment. Candidates must complete all necessary prescreening and compliance requirements.
