Key Responsibilities of the RN - Neuro MedSurg Acute- Provide comprehensive patient care to individuals with conditions such as stroke, spine surgery, seizures, brain tumors, and head injuries.
- Monitor and manage heparin titration based on PTT, ensuring accurate dosage adjustments.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including charge nurses and house supervisors, to maintain optimal patient-nurse ratios.
- Float between general and specialized neuro units as required, ensuring competent care within your expertise.
- Utilize EPIC for accurate and efficient charting.
Requirements of the RN - Neuro MedSurg Acute- Active IL RN license or a confirmed application in process
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
- Level 1 trauma experience and prior travel nursing experience
- Specific experience in a dedicated neuro unit
- Experience with heparin gtt titration
