Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,598 per week in Albany, GA

Experience of 1 year is required, with at least 1 travel assignment. The unit has 44 beds and a staff of 40. Certifications in BLS and NIHSS are mandatory, both must be from AHA. Nurse-patient ratios are 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights. The charting system used is Meditech, and experience with this system is preferred but not required. There are nurse aides available, with a typical ratio of 1:8, generally can be 1:10. Weekend requirements include every other weekend, and holiday availability is needed as requested. Shifts run from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, totaling 12 hours. Floating may be required to other acute care units as needed. General orientation lasts for 1 week, including necessary training. Floor-specific orientation is 2 days, focusing on unit protocols and procedures. The community has a population of approximately 80,000. A cancellation policy stipulates 12 hours notice every 2 weeks is required.
