Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,598 per week in Albany, GA

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Acute Care (Medical Surgical) Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours, 7 AM to 7 PM Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience required, with at least 1 travel assignment License: Valid RN license required Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS required Must-Have: Experience with Meditech preferred but not required Description: Unit has a strict maximum travel radius of 75 miles from the traveler’s driver's license address. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required. The nurse will be responsible for patient care on a Medical Surgical unit. The nurse will work a 1:5 or possibly 1:6 patient-to-nurse ratio for both day and night shifts. The unit has a total of 44 beds and a staff of 40. Nurse aides are available with a typical patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:8, and sitters are provided as needed. Shifts are from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM for a total of 12 hours. Every other weekend work is required, along with holidays as needed. Scrub color is Caribbean Blue. Telemetry monitoring is available on a different unit. Floating may occur to all acute care and cardiology units to care for medical or emergency care patients. The general orientation includes training on the electronic medical record system. The facility has a population of approximately 80,000 residents. It is located 175 miles from a major city. Housing options are available and are regularly checked for safety and cleanliness.
