Key Responsibilities of the Travel MedSurg Registered Nurse:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and post-surgical conditions
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document accurately in the EMR
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and protocols
- Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with the care team
- Educate patients and families on recovery, discharge planning, and ongoing care needs
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
Requirements of the Travel MedSurg Registered Nurse:
- Active RN license (Illinois or compact state)
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent MedSurg experience in an acute care hospital
- Strong clinical assessment, time management, and patient education skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
