This unit focuses on Gynecology, Oncology, and Urogynecology. Nurses will participate in a team nursing model where RNs, LPNs, and PCTs collaborate to care for a group of patients. The patient ratio is targeted at 1:6. Nurses must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. It is essential for candidates to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips. Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs. Nurses should be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The unit features a 29-bed telemetry monitored medical-surgical area. Daily census averages 26 patients. Candidates must possess skills in blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, and central line management. Additionally, the ability to manage dysrhythmias and perform wound care is required. Adherence to isolation precautions and patient safety measures is paramount. The role includes managing IV pain medications and monitoring patients on telemetry. Candidates should be flexible and willing to float based on the job description and unit needs.
