Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,612 per week in Wilmington, NC

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Neuro Unit – North Carolina

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week; 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; every other weekend required (5-6 weekend shifts per contract); 13-20 week assignment available

• Strong interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, and more
• 24-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Experience with telemetry, med/surg, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Proficiency in IV starts and maintenance, peripheral line care, and non-invasive airway management
• Experience with 6-7 patient ratios preferred
• EKG testing proficiency required prior to start date
• Willingness to float to other units as needed (travelers float first)
• Must complete 8-10 hours of pre-start online modules using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
