Start Date: ASAP Location: West Virginia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift, 19:00-07:30, either 3x12 or 4x12 schedule with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
Highlights:
34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry capabilities
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7
13-week assignment with potential for extension
Cerner EMR system
12-hour orientation provided
Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
Active RN License (West Virginia or Compact state license required; pending license accepted for submission)
Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – all American Heart Association (AHA) certified
Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from facility location
Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
Experience with telemetry and medical/surgical patient populations
Proficiency with Cerner charting system preferred
Key Skills:
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
Blood product administration and central line management
IV therapy including starting and maintaining peripheral lines and PICC line management
Management of high-acuity medical patients including CVA, renal failure, and cardiac conditions
Wound care and specialty equipment experience (chest tubes, feeding tubes, tracheostomy care)
Oxygen therapy including high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP management
