Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,676 per week in Morgantown, WV

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Morgantown, West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, nights (weekdays and weekends). Unit will accommodate schedule requests when possible but cannot guarantee blocked schedules.

Highlights:

• 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit with a census of 25-30 patients and diverse case mix
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7 on night shift
• 26-week contract with possibility of extension
• EMR system: Cerner experience required
• Collaborative interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Fast-paced environment supporting patients with complex medical needs including post-surgical care, CVA, renal failure, trauma, and more

Requirements:

• Active RN License (West Virginia or Compact state; pending licenses accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – all must be American Heart Association (AHA)
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system
• Skills required include IV management, blood product administration, wound care, tracheostomy care, BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility (candidates 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case)
• Two professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past two years
• Reliable attendance is essential; facility expects no more than 2-3 call-offs per contract
