Description
Job Title: RN - Short Stay
Profession: Registered Nurse

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Hours per Shift: 8-4 or variable by one half hour M-F
Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience
License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required
Certifications:
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor required
Description:
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment.
Collects relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation.
Analyzes assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues.
Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes.
Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes.
Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.
Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe and caring environment.
Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members.
Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team.
Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
