Description:
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical unit.
This is a night shift position.
The contract duration is for 12 weeks.
The nurse will work a 12-hour shift.
Ratios are 1:6.
Experience in medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
The population includes patients with diabetes, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule outs, and cancer patients not receiving current chemotherapy.
This unit does not care for surgical patients.
Will need to float within the service line to meet facility needs.
Weekend requirements are every other weekend.
All candidates must possess BCLS and ACLS certifications.

Required skills include management of dysrhythmias, telemetry, and wound care.
Interdisciplinary support available includes IV teams, respiratory services, social services, and rapid response teams.
Bedside procedures may include thoracentesis, paracentesis, and chest tube insertion among others.

Labs and modules are required to be completed prior to start.
This position is for a short-term acute care facility with a total of 1,266 staffed beds.
The ideal candidate will have strong assessment and clinical skills.
