Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting. License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required Certifications: BLS (AHA) required Must-Have: - 24 months of current Medical Surgical experience - Post-operative surgical experience highly preferred - Patient care experience in hip/knee surgeries, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries highly preferred - PCA and heparin experience required - Experience with an electronic medical record system required Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical to join our team for a 13-week contract. This position requires working nights, with shifts lasting 12 hours. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 24 months of experience in Medical Surgical nursing. Post-operative surgical experience is highly preferred. Candidates should have experience caring for patients undergoing hip/knee surgeries, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries. Knowledge of PCA and heparin administration is required. Familiarity with electronic medical records is necessary for this role. This position involves an emotional support canine for staff wellness. Travelers may be required to float across various facilities. Additional duties may include participation in holiday rotations. Candidates should be prepared to work 1-2 of the upcoming Summer holidays.
