Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $2,967 per week in Oklahoma City, OK

Job Title: Medical Surgical RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Nursing Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year travel experience in Med/Surg and Stepdown required. Level one experience preferred. License: Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License. Certifications: Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association. Must-Have: Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Description: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments. Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients. Assists physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients. Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary. Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products. Delivers patient care competently. Interacts with family and patients in sharing care plans during their hospital stay and at discharge. Informs patients and families of hospital procedures. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Delegates tasks to support staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
