Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical - $3,106 per week in Lebanon, NH

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med/Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour PM/AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required. Surgical experience is mandatory. License: RN license required. Certifications: Current BLS certification required. Must-Have: - Experience caring for patients after vascular, thoracic, colorectal, and general surgery. - Chest tube management. - Administration of drips such as Diltiazem, Heparin, Lasix, insulin, or Amiodarone. - Care and maintenance of central lines. - Experience with telemetry. - Proficient in managing complex wounds. - Familiarity with trachs and laryngectomies. - Experience with tubes, drains, and blood draws for post-surgical patients. Description: This position is for a surgical unit that accommodates 32 beds. The registered nurse will care for patients after a variety of surgical procedures. Common diagnoses managed include ARDS, esophagectomies, Whipple procedures, and sepsis. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:7-11 during the day and 4:1 on nights. Travel nurses may be expected to float between units. This role requires familiarity with nursing care in a surgical environment. Complex patient management skills are essential for success in this position.
