Description:
This unit will open in early December.
Travelers will float within the facility to orient to the environment while attending unit-specific training until the floor opens for patients.
This is a newly remodeled, 45-bed medical-surgical/telemetry unit caring for adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including sepsis, respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine conditions, and cardiac diseases.
The diverse patient population provides opportunities to build strong clinical judgment, time management, and critical thinking skills while gaining experience across multiple specialties.
The unit features digital door signs, digital whiteboards, virtual nursing support, and virtual patient monitoring for high-risk patients to enhance communication, improve patient safety, and support bedside nurses.
Staff must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the facility.
Weekend shifts will include 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period, specifically Saturday and Sunday.
Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays, which include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
Candidates must be more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered.
Pending licenses will be accepted, but if the license is not in hand at the time of submission, booking will occur six weeks out.
Scrubs must be worn, and specific colors and branding are required.
