Key Responsibilities
As a MedSurg Float Travel RN, you will:
- Provide high-quality nursing care across multiple MedSurg units as assigned
- Adapt quickly to different patient populations, workflows, and care teams
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV therapies
- Deliver evidence-based care for acute and chronic conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
- Accurately document patient assessments and interventions in EHR systems
- Support discharge planning and patient education
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
Qualifications
- Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license (or compact license eligible)
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- 1-2 years of MedSurg or acute care experience required
- Strong adaptability and ability to float across multiple units
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced travel assignment setting
