The unit handles various medical cases, including neuromuscular disorders and meningitis. The facility is a primary stroke center and treats traumatic brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. Surgical procedures include tumor resections for brain and spine, spinal surgery, and head and neck cancer. The center is recognized as a Level IV Epilepsy center, utilizing implanted electrodes and scalp leads. It is the only epilepsy center serving the surrounding areas.
