Seven Healthcare is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Psychiatric (MedSurg Psych) Travel Registered Nurse for a reputable hospital in Rochester, New York. This assignment offers a competitive weekly rate of $3,480 based on a 4x12s Day/Evening/Night rotating shift schedule. Key Responsibilities of the MedSurg Psych RN:

Provide nursing care to patients with co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions
Monitor patient status, including both physical and mental health assessments
Administer medications, including psychotropic medications, and monitor for side effects
Implement and support behavioral health treatment plans
Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, and multidisciplinary care teams
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

Requirements of the MedSurg Psych RN:

Active New York RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
BLS required (ACLS preferred)
Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg and/or psychiatric nursing experience
Strong assessment, de-escalation, and communication skills
Ability to work rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights)
