Med/Surg Registered Nurse
Local - Travel position
Location: IHS Gallup, NM 87301
Shift: 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 6 months, with the option to extend
Payment: $50 + $4.93 per hour (Health and Welfare) + Travel Stipends if applicable
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer IV infusions and medications as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform phlebotomy procedures for laboratory testing and monitoring.
- Engage in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving the facility.
- Utilize knowledge of physiology to monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
- Participate in the sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in memory care settings to provide holistic patient support.
- Document all patient interactions and care provided accurately in medical records.
- Assist in ventilating patients when necessary, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
