Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical Unit. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and deliver evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical Surgical patients.
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments safely.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge planning.
- Document accurately using EPIC EMR.
- Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
- Participate in bedside shift reports and purposeful hourly rounding.
Requirements
- Active New York State RN License
- Current AHA BLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg RN experience
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- EPIC experience preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree accepted with relevant experience
