Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to float between Medical-Surgical and Medical-Telemetry units while maintaining safe and effective nursing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Provide care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
- Perform physical and psychosocial assessments and develop nursing diagnoses
- Collaborate with patients and interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with facility policies
- Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as clinically indicated
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management
- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise support staff
- Advocate for patient safety, rights, and informed decision-making
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic health records
- Contribute to a positive patient care environment and assist with issue resolution
