Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical in Albany, GA

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 (up to 1:6)
• Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a separate telemetry monitoring unit
• Float as needed to all acute care areas, cardiology (for medical patients), and the emergency department for acute care patient holds
• Collaborate with CNA support staff and utilize nurse aides, including sitter assignments as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• NIHSS certification (American Heart Association required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR (training provided during orientation)
• Comfort with floating across acute care and cardiology settings
