Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays As Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 44-bed Medical Surgical unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5, occasionally 1:6
• Monitor telemetry patients in coordination with a separate telemetry monitoring unit
• Float as needed to all acute care units, cardiology (for medical patients), and the emergency department for acute care patient holds
• Collaborate with CNA support staff and utilize nurse aides, including sitter assignments as needed
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Participate in a one-week general orientation (including EMR training) and two days of floor-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Caribbean Blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an acute care setting
