Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required | No On-Call Requirement
Key Responsibilities
Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients on a basic Medical/Surgical unit.
Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage the clinical situation effectively.
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in the state of employment or a valid compact RN license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing setting.
Ability to manage a patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1.
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical/Surgical specialty.
