Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

Location

Americus, GA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed acute care Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 RN/LPN patient ratio
• Monitor and manage patients with common diagnoses including CHF, COPD, ESRD, pneumonia, renal failure, sickle cell crisis, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, AMS, and sepsis
• Perform telemetry monitoring; nurse strip reading is not required
• Document and manage patient records using Meditech EMR
• Participate in every other weekend rotation and holiday coverage as required
• Float to other units occasionally as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
• Ability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and holidays
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in a Med Surg setting
