Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a surgical unit specializing in ENT, general surgery, bariatric surgery, and head and neck surgery
- Care for patients with tracheostomies and laryngectomies, monitoring for complications and changes in condition
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and execute physician-ordered care plans for post-surgical patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate safe and effective patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Demonstrated experience as a surgical RN with strong clinical skills in a surgical setting
- Experience caring for patients with tracheostomies and/or laryngectomies
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in ENT, head and neck, or bariatric surgical nursing
- Familiarity with post-operative care protocols for complex surgical patients
