Provide direct patient care on a complex medical unit managing conditions such as complicated UTI, pneumonia, sepsis, pancreatitis, and altered mental status
Care for patients with tracheostomies, PEG tubes, and peritoneal dialysis needs
Perform IV starts and PICC line management
Conduct neurological assessments using the NIHSS scale
Support a research-focused unit environment approximately half of the scheduled month, including clinical observation and documentation protocols
Transition between research unit assignments and complex medical patient care as scheduled
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Strong Medical/Surgical nursing skills and experience with complex patient populations
Proficiency with tracheostomy care
Competency in NIHSS assessment
Experience with IV starts and PICC line management
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with peritoneal dialysis
Prior exposure to research unit or clinical research environments
