Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical
Location
Atlanta, GA
Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Nights – 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit during overnight shifts
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient neurological status and apply NIHSS assessments as indicated
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Document patient information and care accurately in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-acuity or fast-paced Medical Surgical environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
