Provide direct patient care on a complex medical unit managing conditions such as complicated UTI, pneumonia, sepsis, pancreatitis, and altered mental status
Care for patients requiring tracheostomy management, PEG tubes, and peritoneal dialysis
Perform IV starts and PICC line management as part of routine patient care
Conduct neurological assessments utilizing the NIHSS scale
Support research unit activities for a portion of the monthly schedule, including observation and monitoring of research study participants
Transition between research unit assignments and complex medical patient care within the same schedule
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
Strong Medical/Surgical nursing skills and clinical background
Proficiency in tracheostomy care
Competency in NIHSS assessment
IV start and PICC line management experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with peritoneal dialysis
Prior exposure to research or clinical trial nursing environments
