Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights, 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Rotating Weekends | No Call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Medical Surgical unit with patient ratios of 5:1 to 6:1
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including Telemetry, Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, and Vital Sign Machines
• Document and manage patient records using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with charge nurses, fellow RNs, and PCTs across day and night shift teams
• Maintain BLS certification and adhere to NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) and Telemetry (Tele) competency requirements throughout the assignment
• Rotate weekend shifts, completing approximately 4 weekend shifts per month

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHS) competency required
• Telemetry (Tele) competency required
• Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of nursing experience
• Experience in epilepsy care
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Demonstrated openness to feedback and an ownership mentality in patient care delivery
