    Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical-Surgical Orthopedics unit with patient ratios of 1:6 to 1:7 on night shift
    • Manage and monitor patients recovering from neurosurgeries (kyphoplasty, decompression, laminectomy), fracture repairs, bariatric surgery, and general surgery procedures
    • Operate and maintain unit equipment including PCAs, on-Q pumps, Hoyer lifts, traction devices, and wound vacs
    • Perform nursing procedures including NGT tube management, IV placement, and foley catheter management
    • Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Minimum 1 year of acute care experience, preferably in a medical-surgical setting
    • Flexibility with scheduling, including rotating weekends
    • No on-call requirements
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with Meditech EMR charting
    • Proficiency with NGT tubes, IV placement, and foley management
    • Strong time management skills and an upbeat, team-oriented personality
