Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care for an assigned group of patients across applicable age populations during designated shift
• Perform comprehensive assessments addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning factors
• Plan, prescribe, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing interventions based on the nursing process
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span to assess and interpret patient data and provide age-appropriate care
• Adhere to unit and hospital policies and procedures in all aspects of patient care delivery

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; LARA and Nursys verification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application
• Matching scrubs dress code compliance required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience is preferred
• Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
