Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | 36–48 hours per week (3x12s)

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs on an ongoing basis, focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, and cognitive status, including nutrition, pain, and patient/family education.
  • Formulate, individualize, and update goal-directed, prioritized plans of care based on patient diagnosis and anticipated outcomes, incorporating patient and family input.
  • Implement care in a thorough, safe, and consistent manner; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties among health care team members.
  • Evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of care provided, adjusting the plan of care as necessary and documenting all pertinent information accurately in the electronic medical record (Epic).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the health care team while maintaining a positive, professional manner and service philosophy.
  • Assist with orientation and training of new employees and students, and ensure team compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a related clinical field.
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification (required prior to patient care; recertification every two years).
  • Active ACLS certification required; must be obtained within six months of employment if not already held (recertification every two years).
  • Epic EMR experience required within the last 12 months; Cerner experience within the last 5 years also required. Each work history entry must indicate the charting system used.
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • PALS certification (required within six months of employment for Med/Surg; preferred if already held).
  • Experience successfully completing travel or contract nursing assignments with documented EMR usage.
  • Familiarity with crash cart protocols and emergency response procedures.
