Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and monitor condition trends throughout the hospital stay
- Prepare, administer, and document prescribed medications including IV therapies, and manage wound care or specialized equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on post-surgery care, medication schedules, and post-discharge instructions
- Recognize early signs of medical deterioration and take swift action to stabilize patients before emergencies escalate
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience (required)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Michigan
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience working in an acute care hospital setting
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical records (EMR)
