Provide direct patient care on a 27-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:5–6 patient ratio
Perform and assist with procedures including general surgery, EKG, Echo, Colonoscopy, TEE, EEG, and wound vac management
Operate unit equipment including Welch-Allen vital sign machines, glucometers, Polar Ice, and CBI
Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds (MDRs) to coordinate patient care alongside case management and PT/OT/ST teams
Adhere to facility dress code: Grey scrubs for RN/LPN
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
NIH Stroke Scale certification required
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior travel nursing experience
Familiarity with Meditech EMR
Experience in a telemetry or combined Med-Surg/Telemetry setting
Interest in precepting or working with nursing students
