    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Bemidji, Minnesota, 56601!

    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical

    Location

    Bemidji, MN

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and provide education to patients and families on a medical, surgical, and orthopedic unit
    • Administer medications and perform wound care in accordance with facility protocols
    • Manage clinical procedures including chest tube management, trach care, and assistance with paracentesis or thoracentesis
    • Provide care for behavioral health patients presenting with medical emergencies
    • Monitor telemetry patients and manage admissions and discharges
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team and utilize facility equipment including computerized charting, medication dispensing systems, and patient lift devices
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Minnesota RN License
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical unit
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association
    • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
    • Ability to monitor telemetry patients and manage admissions and discharges
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and float to other units as needed per union contract guidelines
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for orthopedic patients
    • Familiarity with AccuDose medication dispensing systems and Space Labs Vitals Machines
    • Experience with patient lift equipment such as Hoyer Lift, EZ Stand, and Overbed Lift
