Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Ortho (4 West, Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Med/Surg Ortho/Surgery Post-Op unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Conduct bedside shift report at the start of each shift (shift begins at 6:45 PM)
• Care for surgical patients in a fast-paced post-operative environment
• Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong time management skills, positive attitude, and reliable attendance
• Ability to perform bedside shift report
• No artificial, gel, dipped, wrapped, or extended nails permitted; navy scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in Med/Surg, orthopedics, or post-operative care
• Comfort working in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical unit
• Quick critical thinking ability and confident, independent practice style
