Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required | No call requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for general medicine patients on a 24-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Utilize Epic EMR and Barcode Medication Administration (BCMA) for accurate documentation and medication management
• Perform neurological assessments using NIHSS standards as required by the unit
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, quality care
• Float to other units within the acute care division as needed
• Adhere to dress code standards including navy blue scrubs, closed-toe shoes with backs, and fingernails compliant with TJC and CMS guidelines

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience
• Proficiency with BCMA and strong time management skills
• Effective interdisciplinary communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner EMR in addition to Epic
• Background in general medicine or medical/surgical nursing
• Professional, adaptable, and patient-centered approach to care with a commitment to following established processes
