Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical in Birmingham, AL

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neurosurgery/Neuroscience unit serving post-neurosurgery and neuroscience patients
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 across an 18-bed unit
• Document and manage patient records using Cerner EMR
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Adhere to all unit dress code standards, including navy blue scrubs and no artificial fingernails

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• AHA NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro and/or Neurosurgery nursing
• Expected weekly hours: 36

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-neurosurgery and neuroscience patient populations
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
