Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Orthopedics

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Nights (Day/Night Rotation May Be Considered) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Orthopedic/Joint Replacement unit, including assessment, monitoring, and medication administration
• Administer blood products and prepare patients for surgical procedures
• Deliver patient and family education in alignment with quality metrics and standards for a certified total joint replacement program
• Collaborate with CNAs and an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Care for trauma and general medical-surgical patients as needed
• May float to other medical-surgical units as needed; badge in and out at the facility is required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be valid for the state of North Dakota or a compact equivalent)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience preferred; medical-surgical background required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system
• Must live more than 80 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic or joint replacement nursing experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with trauma patients in an acute care setting
• Familiarity with computerized medication administration systems
