Registered Nurse – Oncology (Medical/Surgical)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 36 hours per week | Day/Night Rotating Shift | Every other weekend required | Holiday coverage required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an oncology unit serving a hematologic malignancy population
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for oncology patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient treatment plans
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as appropriate
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with unit and facility standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience required
- Medical/Surgical nursing experience accepted in lieu of oncology experience
- Ability to work a rotating day/night schedule including every other weekend and holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior oncology nursing experience, particularly with the hematologic malignancy population
- Familiarity with oncology-specific treatments, protocols, and patient care considerations
