Contract | Travel | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on an Orthopedic and Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of approximately 6:1
- Manage a full patient load while utilizing teamwork strategies and delivering patient-centered care
- Document patient information and care activities using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Collaborate with PCTs, Student Nurse Externs (SNEs), and unit secretaries to support daily unit operations
- Float to inpatient units as needed to take patients, and assist with tasks in CCU and ED as directed
- Adhere to unit dress code and scheduling requirements, including weekend shift obligations
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with or ability to adapt to Meditech documentation system
- Ability to manage a patient load and work effectively within a team-oriented environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an Orthopedic or Medical Surgical inpatient setting
- Familiarity with bedside procedures performed in an inpatient unit environment
- Experience working in a travel or contract nursing capacity
