Contract (13 Weeks) | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Floating and census flex on-call may be required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general Medical-Surgical inpatient nursing care with a patient ratio of 1:6
- Deliver nursing care to occasional non-critical pediatric patients on the unit
- Utilize the MedHost electronic medical records (EMR) system for documentation
- Participate in census flex on-call as needed prior to the start of a scheduled shift when census is low
- Float within the unit as required based on staffing and patient census needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must be registered with the state of New Mexico (agency registration required for fingerprint processing)
- Ability to comply with New Mexico state fingerprinting requirements for all travelers
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Prior experience with MedHost EMR system
