Travel Nurse RN - Medical-Surgical in Carlsbad, NM

Registered Nurse (RN) – Swing Bed / Medical Surgical (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract – 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Floating and census flex on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general skilled nursing (SNF) level of care within a Swing Bed unit
• Deliver direct patient care within a Medical Surgical setting, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:8
• Float within scope of practice and clinical competency to Rehabilitation and Medical Surgical units as needed
• Utilize the MedHost electronic medical records (EMR) system for documentation and patient management
• Participate in census flex on-call as required prior to the start of scheduled shifts when census is low

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must be registered with the State of New Mexico (fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers)
• Willingness and ability to float between Swing Bed, Rehabilitation, and Medical Surgical units

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of RN experience, preferably in Medical Surgical or Swing Bed settings
• Prior experience with MedHost EMR system
• Experience in skilled nursing facility (SNF) level of care
