Provide direct patient care on an Ortho/Spine unit managing post-operative knee and hip replacement patients as well as multi-level spine surgery patients
Maintain a patient ratio of 6:1 across a 26-bed unit
Utilize Meditech for all clinical documentation
Operate and monitor unit-specific equipment including CPMs, SCDs, coolers, and walkers
Collaborate with unit secretaries, PCTs, and Navigators to ensure continuity of care
Fulfill scheduling requirements including 4 weekend shifts per schedule block and participation in unit float rotation
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Strong orthopedic nursing background
Demonstrated compassion and teamwork skills
Ability to meet a patient experience benchmark of 72%
Compliance with required dress code: navy scrubs
Preferred Experience / Skills
Prior experience in an Ortho/Spine specialty unit
Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
Experience caring for post-operative spine surgery patients
