Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Stroke Unit in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Monitor and assess stroke patients, applying NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) protocols and interventions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with facility policies and nursing standards
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the facility EMR system

Required Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license in good standing
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must be reflected in submission
• Minimum 2+ years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience required
• Stroke unit experience required — must be reflected in submission
• AHCA compliance required for all Florida travel clinicians
• Gray or teal scrubs required per dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Stroke setting
• Familiarity with acute care EMR systems
• Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills in a high-acuity environment
