Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a general Medical Surgical setting with a 5:1 patient ratio on a 22-bed unit
- Administer and monitor IV drips including Heparin
- Float across multiple campuses as required to support staffing needs
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications- Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license
- Minimum 24 months of Medical Surgical experience reflected in current work history
- Previous travel nursing experience within the past 18 months
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Completed and current Medical Surgical skills checklist specific to the discipline
Preferred Experience / Skills- De-escalation certification such as MAB, MOAB, CPI, or SAMA (may be obtained during onboarding)
- Trauma Level I facility experience
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
