    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

    Des Moines, IA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a general Medical Surgical setting, including renal, urology, and transplant patient populations
    • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5–6 in a 22-bed unit
    • Float across multiple campuses as required to meet staffing needs
    • Adhere to unit protocols, documentation standards, and care plans using EPIC EMR
    • Participate in holiday coverage as required, including up to 1–2 summer holidays
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
    • Minimum of 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting
    • Experience in renal, urology, and transplant care (required)
    • At least one travel contract completed within the previous 15 months
    • EPIC EMR experience required
    • Past or current Level I Trauma experience required
    • AHA or ARC BLS certification required
    • Valid driver's license required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
    • Strong proficiency in renal and urology nursing care
