Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Cardio/Neurovascular)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment | Block scheduling available; every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Cardio/Neurovascular Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-acuity patient care
- Complete required pre-start modules prior to assignment begin date
Required Qualifications- Active Alabama RN license or active compact RN license in good standing (no pending status)
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience with high-acuity patients
- Demonstrated experience with dysrhythmia recognition and management
- Experience administering cardiac drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred; highly experienced candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Experience in large healthcare facility settings
