Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Cardio/Neurovascular)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | 13-Week Assignment | Block scheduling available; every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a 42-bed Cardio/Neurovascular Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias
  • Administer and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Tridil, and Amiodarone
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-acuity patient care
  • Complete required pre-start modules prior to assignment begin date
Required Qualifications
  • Active Alabama RN license or active compact RN license in good standing (no pending status)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience with high-acuity patients
  • Demonstrated experience with dysrhythmia recognition and management
  • Experience administering cardiac drips (Cardizem, Tridil, Amiodarone)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations required (medical and religious exemptions accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred; highly experienced candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR
  • Experience in large healthcare facility settings
